ONDA is a community-base advocacy group that supports the development of a robust commercial space industry in Panama. We believe that Panama can become a world center for space tourism, private satellite launch services and other space-related business. We believe that a flourishing space industry will benefit every segment of Panamanian society, including:

  • Tourism

  • Education

  • Technology

  • Employment

  • Overall Economy


In order for this to happen, we encourage the government of Panama to take these steps:

  • Designate special economic zones for the creation of a spaceport complex.

  • Create an independent Space Authority to operate the spaceport.

  • Extend vessel and aircraft registry to private spacecraft.

  • Create special visas for foreign space personnel.

It is our mission to bring together decision-makers in Panama and the space industry for mutual understanding and mutual benefit. We will tell all Panamanians about Panama's future in space and how it will improve their lives. And we will help create that future. To reach our goals, we will create and provide educational materials, issue press releases, sponsor events and do whatever else is needed to get the job done.

We can use all the help we can get. If you believe Panama should be a world leader in private space development, we invite you to join with us in making it happen. With your help, Panama will be the premier space center of the 21st Century.
